I've decided to link up with Jana's Stream of Consciousness Sunday link up because her prompt spoke to me today.
Today’s (optional) prompt: Who has dropped into your life and made it better?
Years ago, The Dad and I were buying a house and we used a referral of a service from my sister. The experience wasn't smooth and me, being me, was feeling "Some type of way" about it. Fast forward lots of years and the house is being sold, the thing that had me so "mad" is forgotten and the wife is now someone I would actually call a friend.
As petty as my grudges are, and boy are the petty and silly and (oh yeah; this is not about me) I can see that through years of holding on to some stupid angry thing, I missed the opportunity to have a good friend.
Janeane is terrific. Supportive, encouraging and just a wonderful spirit. It may seem like a little thing to be happy when someone comments on your blog posts or interacts with you on Facebook or other social media sites but this woman is quite spectacular. Janaene is a pleasure and she is helping to shape a community of women that I want to be a part of.
I don't always say it often enough but she is an inspiration. She is positive and she is kind and I feel small and dumb for letting some stupid thing that happened years and years ago be a reason to ignore my sister's invites to her book club (I know right?), hesitating when questions were asked and just the wasted time and space because I was going to "show them, Hmrumph!"
Check out Janeane and experience the positivity yourself. You will be glad that you did.
