I have several Guilty Pleasures but for the sake of not scaring away new readers will only will focus on my newest thing...Judge Shows.
A few years ago I swore off of judge shows. It seemed to be the the same thing: people doing dumb things and going on national TV to argue about it. It seemed like a horrible waste of time and instead of watching Judge Joe Brown, The People's Court and the like I started obsessively watching Law and Order. Then I got a job that found me out of the house in the afternoon and I wasn't able to watch anything.
But then I found myself up early one morning, not the I have something on my mind insomnia but I am up and while not quite ready to start the day but its too late to go back to sleep up. I should be exercising (thank God this is not a should world!) but instead I have been using this time to grab whatever yarn thing I am working on and catch up on America's Court with Kevin Ross.
I am not entirely ashamed of my new TV habit; Judge Ross is fair and calm and quite frankly I get sick of watching the news in the morning. There will be plenty of opportunity throughout the day to hear about all of the bad news that happens in the city, thank you very much but my mornings are all about Judge Ross, coffee and the foolishness that is people.
He's no Judge Judy, yelling at people, nor is he a Judge Joe Brown who talks gibberish and makes a decision based on the voices he seems to hear. Nope, Judge Ross seems fair, he's calm and makes for good tv.
What is your guilty pleasure?
